QC seven tools

QC seven tools are the most common statistical tools used in quality management. They represent the simplest approach to reaching nontechnical employees to manage their process. QC seven tools as listed below:
  1. Cause and effect diagram (Fishbone Chart): A fishbone type chart used to dissect the possible and probable cause to the problem.
  2. Pareto Chart (80~20 principle): Use bar chart to show data sorted from largest to the smaller and find the major problem. Basically, 80% of the problem is caused by 20% factors.
  3. Histogram: A chart show the percentage of the data distribution.
  4. Control Chart: Chart used to show data plotted over time with statistical control limit calculated. This is use for monitoring the process abnormality.
  5. Bar Graph: Very common tools to quantitatively compare data by exhibiting the data size.
  6. Check sheet: Simple sheet for recording purpose. Used for data collection.
  7. Scatter Diagram: Chart that shows data plotted as point within two axes. Used for regression analysis and understand the relationship of different data
