TQM or Total Quality Management is the practice of ensuring consistency in delivering a customer’s needs. It works to achieve high quality business and manufacturing processes while striving for continuous development. TQM ensures satisfaction on the side of the customers as it helps uplift the workers’ level of training.
Six Sigma, on the other hand, is a business management strategy that is focused on reducing the defects and inefficiency to a business process in order to achieve the goals of the organization. It is focused on producing quality products as a result of eliminating waste operations. The Six Sigma principle is normally applied to create high quality performance while proving overall reliability to the customers. It follows the principle that when defects are removed, total quality is improved.
